About
Dr. Gupta, an alumnus of Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur and Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (VIMHANS), New Delhi; one of the few tertiary care neuropsychiatry institutes, has worked closely with Dept of Mood Disorder-Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia (USA), National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre (NDDTC), Dept of Psychiatry, AIIMS, New Delhi, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt of India, and Social Welfare Dept, Govt of NCT, Delhi.
Along with processing the required clinical skills at VIMHANS for prevention, screening, and treatment for psychological and addiction-related problems, he has actively been involved in research, skill development and implementation of national policies to fight against mental illnesses & drug menace in the country.
Having expertise in psychotropic medications, he has a firm belief in psychotherapy, nutritional therapy, yoga, meditation, and positive thinking. His core areas of interest are the treatment of psychological disorders, drug addiction, accelerated detoxification, drug treatment rehabilitation, and dual diagnosis. In a decade of clinical experience, he has seen patients across the age, gender, culture, and socio-economic background.
